Liquid Phase Applications
Our ceramic membranes can be employed for conventional liquid phase filtration via membranes, such as water and wastewater treatment. The advantage of our ceramic membranes for this conventional application is its low cost (in comparison to other commercial ceramic membranes) and robust features (in comparison to existing polymeric membranes). More importantly, our ceramic membranes are ideal for filtration under harsh environments, where existing polymeric membranes are lack of material stability while existing ceramic membranes are too expensive to justify. Successful examples of applications include high flash solvents recovery in the screen printing industry, waste oil re-refining, and biodiesel cleanup.
